Our cooperative is pleased to present the "Welcome English" project, an innovative initiative which combines learning and fun to introduce the little ones to the world of foreign languages!

The coop. Soc. Tform closed an important agreement with the Sister Teresa Valsè Institute in order to allow all children of the kindergarten, therefore at preschool age to become familiar with a second language, to discover its peculiarities and sonority, having fun and opening up to an increasingly multilingual European and international reality, ensuring the presence of a native speaking teacher.
The educational perspective – teaching of this project is not aimed at achieving linguistic competence, but it focused on listening skills, understanding and appropriation of meanings.
The development of the path, in a purely playful way, it was articulated with proposals for linguistic situations linked to the experience closest to the child with operational and imitation implications.
The proposed activities are always in a playful way, through group games and with the help of puppets (marionette animate) who acted as an intermediary between the teacher and the group of children to stimulate and keep their interest and active participation alive, thus promoting learning.
The game was the main means that conveyed the teaching of a foreign language.
In fact, children through recreational activities, they were encouraged to act and do engaging activities which also encourage their socialisation.
Playful activity is a central and fundamental moment with different value and function depending on the situations and goals that one wants to set.
Particular importance was also given to the acquisition of an increasingly broad lexical heritage through conversation, the use of images, songs, nursery rhymes and teaching cards at the end of this school project, communication also in anticipation of entering primary school. Group games were also proposed, manipulative activities, construction of billboards, conte, songs and nursery rhymes.
